Alrighty, folks. Life's been pretty damn hectic. So, here's the shorten version of the past couple months of my life: 1. School started end of August, ended like a week or so ago (I lose track of these things among my adventures) 2. I moved. That was a battle in itself! 3. Tiny person. She's a force of nature. Growin' like wisteria on a trellis in humid Mobile, Alabama. Ten times as wild, too. Can't tell you where she got that from ;) 4. Oh hey, it's the holidays and we survived another Apocalypse. 5. I'm now a tattooist. Hurrah! Tattooing is the most amazing thing. I have produced a lot more art because of it. My only tiny, teeny prob

Or, If you live in the southern US, the weather loves you. I know it loves me! Great song, btw. ANYHOW, UPDATES. I'm currently working on an Harry Potter fic with an OC... Actually several OC's, mainly students, because this is post DH. I'm really focusing a lot of my spare (oh so sparse) energies into it. And I'm actually liking it. I've gotten the first chapter written... Interested? DROP ME A LINE, BABE. AND then there is my actual arts. I'm doing tattoo requests (and occasionally being paid) when I have time to. I really want to concentrate on expanding my skills with water colors. Because I realize I really suck at this art stuff that

Giving In

0 min read
And it's over, And I'm going under, But I'm not giving up, I'm just giving in. Oh, slipping underneath. Oh, so cold, but so sweet. In the arms of the ocean, so sweet and so cold, And all this devotion I never knew at all, And the crashes are Heaven, for a sinner released, And the arms of the ocean, Deliver me. Never let me go, never let me go. I have to say I love that song because of the usage of La Mare. She is the mother of us all, anyway. It's been a long and very emotional year for me. So much has happened and I have learned so much about others, but more importantly, myself. I think I've finally figured out enough for

Thank you for the +fav. :sun:
You are most welcome!
Requests for expanding horizons? This would surely expand it albeit why? I am curious about the realistic fanart of Groening's mutated-cyclops, Leela. Given the anatomy of a cyclops, could its face be attractive as Turanga Leela's is supposed to be. Most artists do not worry about it and draw the normal nose as if there were bone separating the eye orbits or leave no room for the six eye muscles or just put the eye in a turned-head where we would only see one of the normal two. Some of the Greeks, and later artists, did the same thing with Polyphemus but given that being ugly would not seem out of place, others portrayed him with short and very wide noses or leaving the orbits unfilled and putting the eye in the middle of his forehead. Can you make an attractive Leela given her theoretical anatomical requirements?
Took me a moment to grasp what was going on here: a request! Well, sir, you've asked the right person as I happen to be a biologist and and artist. It is possible, and I'll do my best to render it as such. Give me some time, and I'll show you what you're looking for.
A biosci: Yay. An artiste: Yay. Combined: Très cool. I shall wait patiently but w/ bated breath. t, biologist-librarian and am currently taking care of raptors and running a small special library in history and do more genealogy reference queries than I thought was theoretically possible.
Theoretically, I find that nothing should be impossible, nor should the curiosity of the general public ever be underestimated. Raptors are darling creatures. I prefer shelled reptiles, but I'll take a derived counterpart when herps aren't available. As of right now, I'm a tattooist and a student, and I work with herps when I can grab the chance. I have an initial drawing drafted up of Leela; I'll work on the second version tomorrow, should time permit!
